I am a Pinterest lover!!! For me Pinterest is good for quick easy recipes, though there is a catch, not all recipes on Pinterest are good. I also use Pinterest for outfit inspirations or ideas for something that I already have in my closet. If you haven’t done that, please give it a go, it is very helpful. Anyway, back to recipes. So I have tried numerous recipes and I have faced some failures along the way. But this recipe that I am going to show you has been tested in my kitchen and turned out delish! The ingredients are something that you already have on hand, for most household anyway. So judging by the title, you already guessed that these cookies only required 3 ingredients, which are:
I don’t think you’ll need instructions for what to do, but in case you do. All you have to do is preheat your oven to 350F. Mix all the ingredients together, I used a whisk and it worked fine. Then, with your hands, ball out your dough to about the size of a quarter and place on lined baking sheet (you can make them any sizes you want, really). I find it helpful to grease your hards with a little bit of flavorless oil, to prevent stickiness. Make sure they are 1 to 2 inches apart on the sheet. With a greased fork, I flattened my cookies by pressing my fork onto the top of the cookies twice from opposite directions, but this part is optional. Then bake for about 10 to 12 minutes or until the top is set.
They are so buttery and delicious. In my opinion, you can reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup to make them less sweet. But Andy (my husband) said they were good as is and he’s not huge on sweet, so I guess they weren’t too sweet? One batch gave me 24 two-biter cookies. - You can use any kind of peanut butter, from creamy to super chunky. Though if you like texture, super chunky will give them some extra crunch from the peanut pieces, which is extra delicious!
- if your baked cookies came out super thin, next time you can pop your balled and flattened cookies in the fridge for 30 minutes before baking. It helps the cookies hold their thickness better.
