Episode 2: Stereotypes, Blood Bird and Gnetum Gnemon Nut

Wow, I can’t believe that we are now looking at a second episode of our podcast! Our first episode was rough – we are not going to lie and say that podcasting is easy because it is not. From recording, editing and typing out a post and upload the podcast require a separate time slot.

However, we are trying really hard to get better and better after each episode. If you are a return listener, welcome back; if you are a new listener we are glad to have you and we hope you stick around.

In this second episode we talked about ourselves because we are so narcissistic that way; just kidding, once you listen you will realize that we are actually the worst at talking about ourselves.

Along with talking about ourselves we discussed some common Asians stereotypes; and also dug a little deeper and talked about Indonesian stereotypes that we found on the web and how we felt about them.

If you are Asians, or Indonesian or non of that, who cares; among the list of stereotypes that we mentioned in this episode, is there any that you can relate to? Or is there any that we didn’t mention? Let us know. We want to hear!

Also remember to either subscribe to our blog or our podcast via iTunes or RSS to get notified when we post a new episode.

This episode was not recorded while being in the same location. Both of us are now in the comfort of our homes; Julia in Pennsylvania and Patrecia in California – we are doing our part and practicing social distancing.

With the situation at hand and the number of individuals being infected rising each day we advise for everyone to please stay home. By staying home it is not only for the safety of yourself but also for the safety of your loved ones. Please know that the virus knows no age, gender, religion, race or sexual orientation — please do all you can to help each other, by practicing social distancing.

Jule & Nanda

Two ladies set out to conquer the world. Just kidding, none of us are ever that ambitious. We are just two individuals who have known each other for a very long time (more than a decade now) that wanted to venture out to collaborate on a project together. We are “TOOCONFIDENTIALMESS” – too as in 'two' (Jule & Nanda) and too as in well, too. Confidential as in, it is our not so little secret to the world and mess as in our perfectly imperfect lives.
